The tech startup Azevtec had been operating in stealth mode for several years as they developed their offering and courted investors. The name stood for Autonomous Zero Emission Vehicle Technology. Extremely accurate. Much less catchy. My partner, Michelle Hirschberg, and I helped bring them into their next phase with a new name, identity and launch film. We even helped design the wrap for the autonomous trucks themselves.
The new name is every bit as accurate but more memorable and fitting of a cutting edge autonomous tech company.
With an extremely limited budget, we created a film introducing the company to the public. Beyond providing a glimpse of their impressive system, the tongue-in-cheek tone helped set them apart from the dry, purely functional videos made by competitors in the space.
